Oh god, it’s finally over. just beginning.

Today’s launch couldn’t have happened without the following individuals, whose incessant givingness challenges all theories of kin selection-based altruism to a duel and stomps their beady-eyed heads in.

Hilotrons - without whom there would be no theme song

Christie Nicholson - for being an awesome co-host

Andrew Cahill - for post-production excellence and agreeable rent

Eric Schwartz - for being the ultimate web-fu sensei

Tim Murtaugh and Nick Sollecito - for answering all our noob questions

Jeff Alvarez - for being on call

Michael Pick - for being the original gangsta

Martha Mims, Lisa Mims and Dave Rankin - for being the best business and IP lawyers ever

Rachel Dvoskin and Sunny Gold - for general awesomeness

Bill Smee & Andy Bowers - for saying “yes” a helluva lot

Obamacorn - for inspiration

I was wondering what happened to Scientific American’s The Monitor. You guys are great. I recently recommended the Monitor to a friend, but I now realize he probably had trouble finding it. I’ll be sure to evangelize. (first!)

Note the picture of producer Chris Mims as the curly haired guy picking over the computer between segments.

Waaahhaa. Awesome bro. Awesome.

well done, but how does a group called “small mammal productions” overlook the recent rediscovery of the pygmy tarsier? It’s 50% more adorable than previously described species of tarsier.

so much science, so little time.
again, well done.

Thanks Chris — and you just gave me an idea… in the spirit of PZ Myers’ Cephalopod Friday, perhaps we should do an, um, Small Mammal Tuesday? Awesome pics of the pygmy tarsier over at Scientific American: http://www.sciam.com/blog/60-second-science/post.cfm?id=tiny-primate-rediscovered-in-indone-2008-11-19
